Houston Dryer Vent Cleaning
Keeping Familes Safe One Home at a Time

Residential Dryer Vent Cleaning

Clogged dryer vents are a big cause of household fires and need to become a common annual household maintenance service just like having your HVAC system annually serviced. Many people think that keeping the lint screen clean on their dryers' is all that is needed. What accumulates from the back of the dryer, through the walls, and up until the point of exiting the house is where the real hidden dangers lurk. There are warning signs of issues that you can look for, but the best practice is annual service.

Your dryer vent can be partially clogged, fully-clogged or somewhere in between. By keeping the vent fully-cleaned at all times; you are not only keeping your home and loved ones safe but you will be saving money on electric and/or gas bills.

Longer Drying Times

Does it seem like it is taking longer than normal for your clothes to dry? Make sure the clothes are properly spun when moving them from the washer to the dryer to rule out the washing machine.

Wet Clothes and Lint Screen

When, after the extended drying time, you still find your clothes not fully dry and that the lint in the lint screen is damp is another indicator that you have a clogged dryer vent.

Lint Build-Up at House Vent Exit

If you notice lint built up at the exit vent or bunched up in the bird screen guard, there is a good chance your dryer vent is clogged.
